Raised in Bogota, Colombia, Daniel heard about the beauty of this iconic mountain through his childhood. When he turned 23, he decided to visit the beautiful landscapes of this region and realized that the snow peak was being affected by climate change. This experience had such a strong impact on his life that he felt the need to show what is happening in this part of the world. Six years later children from the US and children living around the snow peak reflect on their lives, the future of the snow peak and the planet. El Nevado is one of six snow peaks left in the country. It is the source of fresh water for more that 40 towns and cities around it, a point of interest for tourist and visitors, but most important is a warning sign of a global issue we are acting upon.
